Bengaluru: Father Tom Uzhunnalil, the Kerala cleric who was discharged as of late after over 17 months in bondage in Yemen, achieved Bengaluru on Friday, a day after he arrived in India and met Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Talking the Don Bosco Church in the city, Father Tom said his captors were thoughtful to him. “I didn’t cry. I didn’t shudder. I wasn’t terrified for my life. They didn’t torment me and gave me nourishment. They were thoughtful to me,” he said.

 Arriving in India on Thursday, Father Tom had said thanks to PM Modi and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for their support.
The Ministry of External Affairs had been endeavoring every single conceivable push to secure his protected discharge and was in steady touch with nations in the area which could enable secure his to discharge, the service said in a discharge.
